Librarian of Congress Scheduling Request

Please use this online form to request the Librarian’s attendance or participation at future events or meetings. Please submit your request at least 5 weeks in advance of your event. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis and in accordance with the Librarian's schedule.

Please note that submission of this form does not guarantee the Librarian's attendance or participation at your event. A member of our staff will contact you to confirm the Librarian’s availability—no phone call is required.

* Please provide your name, phone number, email address, and organization name (if applicable). You will be contacted via email so please confirm that you have typed your email address correctly and completely before submitting your request.

Please provide the official name of your event.
Please identify all event host(s) and/or sponsoring organizations.
Please provide link(s) to your event’s official website or social media.
If you selected “Other” for the Event Type , please briefly describe your event (max word limit 500).
If you selected “Other” Desired Role, please briefly describe the level of participation you are requesting of the Librarian (max word limit 500).
Please provide the confirmed date of your event.

If you have not confirmed the event date yet, please list 2-3 dates that work for your organization. Please note that invitations “at the Librarian’s convenience” will not be accepted.

Please provide complete physical address of event location and, if necessary, any special notes about this venue.
Please provide an agenda or run-of-show for your event.

If you are requesting the Librarian as a speaker, please identify all possible speaking time slots.
Please provide a general description of the audience that will be in attendance.
Please indicate the number of expected attendees/number of RSVPs.
