Baseball Card Stats

Baseball cards remain a source of accumulated statistical information, but the presentation has varied from scant to overwhelming. This Walter Johnson card provides minimal data, and Babe Ruth’s card, part of a set especially admired for its handsome renderings, contains only a short bland description of his career. The National League batting leaders group card ranked the top fifty hitters based only on batting average, but this recent Miguel Cabrera card is a trove of numerical factoids.
