What if . . .

A younger voice in the realm of alternative weeklies, Jen Sorensen grapples with growing use of online platforms for political cartooning, as conveyed in the first panel of her cartoon. Subsequent panels posit a world where cartoons would be highly valued and oil nearly worthless. The first woman to win the Herblock Prize for editorial cartooning, Sorensen has addressed unequal treatment of women in the workplace in her cartoons and expressed concern about the small number of women in this field.
