-  Summary of audio segment: What about her friends? BM says even in grammar school she had friends who were a little crazy, and wound up getting pregnant, getting married. Even though they were incredibly smart, in school, bad luck, they got in with the wrong people and had to do other things. But it was different in high school, her friends encouraged each other. But out of BM's peer groups at high school and college, she's the only one who became an attorney, or went on to graduate school. The others are either married or working at other kinds of jobs.
