Biographies Garrison Keillor (1942-)

Garrison Keillor was born in Anoka, Minnesota, in 1942. He is the host and writer of the radio shows A Prairie Home Companion and The Writer’s Almanac. He has also written over a dozen poetry collections, novels, and children’s books, including 77 Love Sonnets (2007), Love Me (2003), and Daddy’s Girl (2005). He is the editor of several poetry anthologies, including Good Poems (2002) and Good Poems for Hard Times (2005). A member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, he lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota, with his wife and daughter.
