Andrew Hudgins was born in Killeen, Texas, in 1951. He is the author of nine collections of poetry, including Saints and Strangers (1983), After the Lost War: A Narrative (1988), and The Never-Ending: New Poems (1991). His honors include the Witter Bynner Award for Poetry and the Hanes Prize for Poetry from the Fellowship of Southern Writers. He has received fellowships from the Ingram Merrill Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. Hudgins currently lives in Upper Arlington, Ohio, and is a professor at Ohio State University.
