Biographies Muna Lee (1895-1965)

Muna Lee was born in Mississippi in 1895. A poet, translator, novelist, and activist, Lee worked most of her life facilitating relations between the United States and Latin America through her work at the State Department and through her translations of Spanish poetry. She is the author of a series of mystery novels, one volume of poetry, as well as numerous translations of Spanish poems. She died in 1965 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
